I'm not sure whether I'm trying to be too broad or should specialize more, but the party caster is a dedicated wizard/magus blaster and everyone else focuses on direct damage, so a lot of gaps are filled. There's also a focus on Summoning, as this generally works pretty well at tying up enemies for a bit, and debuffing. The concept I'm going for is lay down some key buffs for the party, move to the thick of the fighting, add buffs as needed and lay into the enemy while using wall spells/exploding shards/fire etc to restrict enemy movement. I'm also considering moving him to a Holy Tactician Archetype, as I think that might really benefit the party. Don't mind the ridiculous stats, it's part of a super-high powered campaign. I could also use help fleshing out the gear (I've got a little more than 20k to spend). I'm basically looking for help selecting another feat, and fine-tuning the Oracle spells-known list. Into your form, the equipment resizes to match your new size.Hey guys, so I decided one of the builds I might use for this upcoming game is a Paladin/Oracle. If your new form does not cause your equipment to meld You into a form that is unlike your original form (subject to GMĭiscretion). When you cast a polymorph spell that changes you into a creature of You will need natural spell or eschew material if the spell has somatic components.Įlemental body is a polymorph subschool spell. It will depend on the spell components needed for each spell. Polymorph subschool places restrictions on spellcasting. I could see abuses that might make me put my foot down, but for the most part it’s probably fine. A sorcerer, of course, has Eschew Materials, and anyone else could take it, so that would be one solution for negligible-cost components, or you could just keep the components separate while polymorphing.Ĭonsidering how easy it is to get around, and how it really seems like it’s supposed to be a convenience feature for the transmogrifier, I probably wouldn’t bother enforcing this rule though. This would include your spell components, which is problematic for spellcasting. All your items meld during a polymorph effect So yes, you can cast spells during elemental body. Elementals can take levels in spellcasting classes, and when you become one you remain capable of doing everything that’s necessary for spellcasting. Unlike animals, elementals can talk, tend to be roughly humanoid in appearance, and thus can perform gestures and manipulate materials and foci. It simply says you take the forms of the various elementals. Nowhere in the elemental body spell is any limitation on spellcasting offered. Elemental body places no restriction on spellcasting
